PPMA’s Board of Directors

Grant Jamieson

Grant Jamieson, Managing Director of the Winkworth Group, has been elected to the Process & Packaging Machinery Association’s (PPMA) Board of Directors.

The PPMA is the UK’s most prominent trade association for suppliers of processing and packaging machinery and represents more than 350 member companies.

Its principal objective is to promote sales of machinery, both nationally and internationally, by effective marketing and technical support, and to raise the status and professionalism of its member companies.

Commenting on his appointment, Grant said: “I am very honoured to have been selected and would like to thank all those who voted for me. I will endeavour to serve the membership to the best of my ability and look forward to making a positive contribution on their behalf.

“Winkworth has been a member of the PPMA since 1999 and I am pleased to be given the opportunity of making a more formal contribution to the membership. We are aware of the importance of an effective and forward-thinking trade association. The PPMA stands for quality and service – virtues which Winkworth embrace.”

Grant, who has been Managing Director of the Winkworth Group since 2008 added: “As I'm relatively new to the industry I look forward to engaging with the members and personally getting to know many more of them. “I'm certain that the role trade associations play will be increasingly important in helping our member companies get the best they can from which ever Government presides.”

The PPMA is a founder member of the Confederation of Packaging Machinery Associations (COPAMA) which provides an international forum and voice for all the world’s major machinery manufacturing nations.

Special Interest Groups within the PPMA include The British Automation & Robot Association (BARA); the UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA) and the Polymer Machinery Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMMDA).
