James Winkworth is Chairman of the Winkworth Group. As a third generation ‘Winkworth’ James plays a key role in the strategy and direction of the Group.

James read Advertising, Media & Marketing at University before running a small property business. In 1997, James joined the family business and enjoyed a full and thorough induction into all aspects of the company. This included studying engineering and a two year concentrated term working in each of the departments within Winkworth. In addition, James spent an extended period overseas in a sales/business development role. The knowledge and sales experience gained both in the U.K and internationally led to James taking charge of the business as Managing Director in 2005.

Following the appointment of Grant Jamieson as M.D, James was appointed Chairman of the Winkworth Group.

“As Chairman of the Winkworth Group, my focus is on developing and promoting the Winkworth brand both domestically and internationally whilst encouraging and supporting the Senior Management Team.” explains James.
